PADI Open Water Diver Course    

The internationally recognised PADI Open Water Diver course is your passport to the world of scuba diving and will give you the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional to 18m. Your underwater adventure can begin right now with PADI E-learning but we also offer self study with your own personal manuals and DVDs or traditional instructor lead theory sessions. The PADI Open Water Diver course is incredibly flexible and performance based.

The PADI Open Water Diver course includes:

• Knowledge development covering the fundamentals of scuba diving including dive equipment and techniques.
• 5 confined water dives and
• 4 open water dives.
• 'PADI Ultimate Crew pack' including: PADI OW DVDs, a PADI Manual, a Multilevel Electronic Dive Planner (eRDPML) and a logbook. **

This is what we term our “Basics Package” priced at $375, which takes just 3 days on a part or full time basis.

However most of our students elect our Deluxe package priced at $475 The additional things this package gives you are :

• two extra dives for additional experience with your instructor on a 4th day (which you can use towards your PADI Advanced course if you like).
• Plus you will also recieve FREE double boat dive voucher so you can do our famous shark dive at Broughton Island! That is four dives for just $100!!

To participate in the PADI Open Water Course you will need to complete a dive medical and need to be able to swim 200m (untimed). We provide you with all equipment necessary for the 3 or 4 day course package you choose. Many students prefer to use thier own mask, snorkle and fins so if you chooses to treat yourself we will give you a student discount.

**E-learning option - If you choose to do your theory by e-learning, contact us and instead of receiving the Ultimate crew pack we will provide you with an e-learning access pass at no additional charge. Please note that if you choose this option the contents normally found within the crew pack are provided electronically. If you would like both a hardcopy and electronic version we can organise this for you but there will be an additional charge.

Support Project AWARE!!

Our students also have the option of choosing a from a series of collectors edition dive certification cards if they make a donation of $10 or more towards Project A.W.A.R.E. In order to support this worthwhile cause, Pro Dive Nelson Bay will donate $10 towards Project AWARE for every Advanced course completed.
